The advantage of Anhydrous Aluminium Fluoride:

1. Anhydrous aluminum fluoride’s SiO2 content is lower (Basicly less than 0.01%).

The SiO2 impurity of anhydrous aluminium fluoride entry of aluminum will be greatly reduced compared to dry method aluminium fluoride, which will help to improve the quality of primary aluminum products.

2. Anhydrous aluminum fluoride’s P2O5 content is lower (Basicly less than 0.01%).

P2O5 volume in aluminum fluoride will accumulate in the electrolytic cell, the increase of phosphorus will further result in a decrease in current efficiency and an increase in electricity consumption.

3. Anhydrous aluminum fluoride’s SO4 is lower (Basicly less than 0.10%).

The “sulfates” in aluminum fluoride produce sulfur dioxide, a harmful gas, when added into the electrolyte.

4. Anhydrous aluminum fluoride’s H2O and L.O.I is lower.

L.O.I. is the main crystalline water in aluminum fluoride products, moisture and L.O.I is very adverse for electrolytic aluminum production, will be hydrolyzed with aluminum fluoride in the electrolyte, hydrogen fluoride gas is produced, not only reduce the yield of aluminum fluoride, but also increase the emissions of harmful gas hydrogen fluoride.
