Half of the world’s fluorspar production is used to manufacture hydrofluoric acid, and then develop the manufacture of cryolite for aluminum smelting industry.

Fluorite is also widely used in glass, ceramics, cement and other building materials industry, the amount of which occupies the second place in China.

Fluorspar is mainly used in blast furnace smelting, hot metal pretreatment, steelmaking (roughing) and secondary liquid steel refining under special furnace conditions.

Mainly used to produce balling to replace high grade fluorspar lumps, as cosolvent, slag discharge agent to be used for metal smelting of steel and etc.

Fluorite plays a great role in promoting steel manufacturering, shortening the smelting time and removing inclusions in the steel.
