Property
White diamond or needle crystal, odorless, relative density is 1.788, melting point is 120 ℃. It can be weathered and lose crystal water. Soluble in water, soluble in dilute acid, insoluble in hydrofluoric acid, insoluble in alcohol. The aqueous solution is acidic. The corresponding fluorides and silica can be formed by the reaction with alkali. Toxic.
Application
Used as hardener and waterproof agent of concrete, surface treatment of silica building and ceramic manufacturing.
