Fluorite powder ball is made by adding a certain proportion of binder into the fluorite powder after ball pressing and drying. Fluorite ball can replace high grade fluorite ore and has the advantages of uniform grade and easy particle size control. It is widely used in metallurgy and other industries.
Applications
- Metallurgical industry mainly as a flux of ironmaking and steelmaking and ferroalloy, slag discharge agent. Fluorite powder ball can reduce the melting point of refractory material, promote the slag flow, make the slag and metal fine separation, desulphurization and dephosphorization during the process of smelting, reinforced metal can be calcined and tensile strength etc., usually adding quantity of the mass fraction of 3% ~ 10%.
- Cement industry: in cement production, fluorite added as a mineralizing agent, which can reduce the sintering temperature of the charge, reduce fuel consumption, enhance the liquid viscosity of the clinker during sintering and promote the formation of tricalcium silicate. The amount of fluorite added in cement production is generally 4%-5%.
