China’s acid-grade fluorspar market remains firm in early September as tighter mine supply and limited spot availability continue to support offers.

Mine safety and compliance inspections continue across several major producing regions in China. Some mines have not yet returned to normal output, while low inventories continue to restrict spot availability. Producers are also allocating more material to long-term supply commitments, leaving less flexibility in the spot market.
The tighter supply picture matters even more for acid-grade material. Fluorspar that must meet stricter limits for CaF₂, SiO₂, sulfur, arsenic and moisture can become harder to source than broader market supply conditions suggest.
Hydrofluoric acid producers continue to purchase raw material as elevated feedstock costs keep HF production costs high. This provides further support for acid-grade fluorspar demand, although many downstream buyers remain cautious about building large inventories.
Price alone therefore gives an incomplete basis for comparison. New inquiries need to consider specification, available tonnage, production schedule and quotation validity on the same basis, especially for larger or recurring requirements.
Unless raw ore availability improves materially, tight mine supply and low inventories are likely to keep acid-grade fluorspar offers firm in the near term.
